Schematic Plans Approved by the Board!
On Apri 28, 2016, the GRF Board approved the schematic design package and authorized ELS Architecture and Urban Design to continue on to the design development phase. 3D models of the schematic plan are below:
From the reception counter, users will have an open view through the fitness center. At the top of the stair is a mezzanine (depicted as the vertical cluster of lines in the middle of the image) where users may look back and beyond the reception counter to see into the pools. The raised roof, new windows, and interior transparency all contribute to the light, bright, and contemporary center residents requested.
The raised roof brings the center into compliance with the minimum ceiling height standard of 12 feet for fitness facilities.
